Salah and Mane have shown glimpses over the past few weeks of getting back to their best for .

After a slow start to the season, Salah and Mane have hit their stride and both were on target with the latter scoring a double in the 4-1 win over Cardiff last week.

The Reds meanwhile, have been solid at the back, conceding just four times in 10 games, but Manchester City are top of the table by virtue of having a better goal difference.

Robertson has grown in statue with the Anfield outfit, and plays alongside some speedy stars.

And he is convinced that Joe Gomez is the quickest of them all. 

“You’ve got the obvious contenders in Mo [Salah] and Sadio [Mane],” Robertson said on The Premier League Show when discussing who would win a 100m race.

“But if I was to back anyone, it would be Joe [Gomez].

“I think everyone has seen his recovery pace.

“I wouldn’t back myself!

“Trent [Alexander Arnold] would back himself as well.”

Liverpool travel to face on Saturday (5.30pm) and will hope to continue their unbeaten start to the campaign.

Robertson, along with James Milner and Gomez are expected to return to the starting line-up.

Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino will be hoping to make history.

The Brazilian has scored in each of his last three league games against the Gunners and will be hoping to become the first player in the competition to score in four successive matches against a single opponent.
